"A native of Massachusetts, Maureen Leavenworth began her career in painting under private instruction at the age of ten. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Westfield State College, Maureen returned to Cape Cod and for the next 20 years went on to hold a career in advertising, all the while balancing the demands of a young family and establishing herself as a fine artist.
Today, Maureen is no longer in the advertising industry but proudly starts her 21st year as co-owner of The Chatham Art Gallery, Chatham, Massachusetts. She is also now in her ninth year at Gallery 31, Orleans, Massachusetts. | |
